Fees, in the open
Know what you pay before a parcel leaves the street.
Selling
The standard commission is 10% of the item subtotal. Listing is always $0 — there are no listing fees — and MyShopStreet pays the card-processing costs, so the commission is the whole platform charge on a sale. The first 20 shops to open on MyShopStreet are Founding Shops: they pay 5% commission for life — no time limit, no order limit — and carry a numbered founding lantern (N° 01–20). Founding status is first-come: the first 20 shops to open claim it automatically, and every shop from N° 21 on pays the standard 10%. Share & Save lowers it to 9.5% within 30 days of a buyer opening a tagged link (?ref=), on the same device: when they arrive through your own shop link and buy from your shop, or when they open a listing link shared by another seller and buy that exact listing. The 9.5% covers only that listing — other items in the order follow the shop rule. Sharing your own listing with your own tag does not create a listing-level referral. Everything else pays the shop's standard rate.
Safe Street Guarantee
Buyers pay 4% of the item subtotal, with a $0.90 minimum. The amount is shown before payment.
High-value pieces
Pieces whose merchandise value reaches $500 or more carry a 5-day post-delivery inspection hold (12 days for untracked orders) before seller proceeds release. See the Trust & Safety page for the full policy.
Boosts
A boost gives a listing seven days of priority placement. An extra 3% applies only if the boosted listing sells.
Shipping labels
Sellers buy discounted shipping labels through their own Shippo account — the label price is shown before purchase and charged to the seller's card on file with Shippo. When the buyer pays shipping at checkout, MyShopStreet sends that shipping amount straight to the seller's payout account right after the sale (the shipping advance), so the seller never fronts the label cost; new sellers receive the advance starting with their second completed sale. When an order ships free (your per-listing free shipping or your shop's free-shipping threshold), the label comes out of the seller's pocket. If an order is cancelled or refunded, the advance is reversed before the buyer is refunded. MyShopStreet never pays for labels.
Instant payouts
An optional instant payout costs the seller a flat $1.50. Each instant payout is capped at $100 and is available only from already-released balances.
Taxes
Sellers are independent sellers, not employees of MyShopStreet — you're responsible for reporting your sales and paying any taxes you owe. When you meet the IRS reporting threshold for the year, we'll send you a Form 1099-K. This isn't tax advice; a tax professional can tell you what applies to you. Full details in the Terms of Service.
